High School Principal JOB GOAL:
The successful operation of all boys and girls athletic endeavors in any interscholastic sport competition.
He/she is directly responsible for the administration of the total interscholastic athletic program.
He/she is the Principal's liaison for athletics and shall participate fully in the employment of all coaches.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1) Shall present a positive image of the school to parents, and convey to them the school's genuine concern with the education, growth and development of each student.
2) Shall determine appropriate action within clearly defined guidelines.
3) Shall carry out assignments in a timely manner without undue checking.
4) Shall react positively to directives.
5) Shall maintain the confidentiality, both verbally and in written form, of each student's educational record.

7) Assist the Principal and all of the athletic staff in the following school district athletic policy.
8) Work with the Principal and Coaches to coordinate a budget for all boys and girls athletic programs each year.
9) Ascertain the approximate number of boys and girls to be examined for athletic physical examinations for each sport prior to opening of each sport season.
10) Arrange athletic transportation, when they play at an athletic event.
11) Arrange for printing of athletic schedules for all sports seasons.
12) Arrange for distribution of athletic supplies.
13) Shall supervise the cleaning, storage, and care for all athletic equipment.
14) Arrange contracted service related to athletics.
15) Be responsible for athletic inventories received from coaches or equipment manager, where applicable.
16) Be responsible, in conjunction with the Principal, for all correspondence with the P.

districts, leagues and conferences.
17) Attend all home athletic games when held in the local school area.
18) Schedule and contract all boys and girls interscholastic athletic contests.
19) Contract officials for all scheduled interscholastic athletic contests with the coaches' approval.
20) Assist with all phases of eligibility as outlined by the Principal.
21) Be responsible for advertising and publicity of athletic contests.
22) Be responsible for collection and disbursements of monies received from gate receipts and pre-game sales:
a.
Pay and secure signed receipts for officials, gate help, police, etc.
b.
Prepare financial reports as required by the Principal or business office.
23) Complete medical forms and be responsible, with the school nurse and coach, in checking all injuries, and follow-up of athletic injuries.
24) Distribute and check all parent permission forms and keep them on file.
25) Be responsible for the welfare of all team personnel making trips to interscholastic athletic contests away from home and arrange for their meals and housing.
If, in the case of an emergency, it becomes necessary for a team to be away from home overnight, he/she shall notify the Principal and the parents of the players giving the reason for not returning the same night.
26) Above all, he/she should cooperate in every way possible with the coaching staff for the good of the school and the team.
27) In schools where there is no equipment manager, he/she shall assume those duties in cooperation with the coaching staff.
28) Be responsible for collecting a set of rules and regulations that teams are to follow from each head coach.
29) Coordinate annual reviews of all athletic coaches.
30) Coordinate and monitor the schedule and contractual agreement with the District's Athletic Trainer.
31) Coordinate semi-annual reviews for the District's Athletic Trainer.
32) Coordinate the scheduling of athletic facilities as needed.
33) Shall make reports of the physical conditions of the athletic facilities to the Principal and send the request, as needed, for repairs, etc.
to the Building & Grounds Facilitator.
34) Shall perform other duties as related to the position as assigned by the Principal.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and work year to be determined by contractual agreement.
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional/Supplemental Personnel.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
